Brandi Carlile's New Year's Eve Party at Moda Center

Brandi Carlile is a Grammy Award-winning singer who has conquered the world with her unique blend of Americana, alternative rock, and country music. She emerged in 2004 when she dropped out of school to pursue her music career. A year later, Carlile made her major label debut with her self-titled debut album. But it wasn’t until the release of her sophomore album, The Story, that she found her fame. The album’s title track gained incredible traction, peaked at number 3 on the Adult Alternative Airplay charts, and entered the Hot 100 charts. Apart from the U.S, the single also entered the charts in several other countries. The Story moved on to selling more than 500,000 copies in the U.S., earning Carlile a gold certification.

In 2012, Carlile’s fourth studio effort topped the Folk chart and peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200 and number 3 on the Top Rock Albums charts. Released via Columbia Records, Carlile worked with Grammy Award-winning producer Trine Shoemaker. Named after the recording studio it was produced in, Break Creek spawned two hit singles, “That Wasn’t Me” and “Keep Your Heart Young.” In 2018, Brandi Carlile released her sixth studio album, By The Way, I Forgive You, topping both the Adult Alternative Airplay and Top Rock Albums charts. The album peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200, making it her highest mainstream charting album. One year after its release, By The Way, I Forgive You won the Grammy Award for Best Americana Album and earned a nomination for Album of the Year. For this particular project, Carlile worked with producers Dave Cobb and Shooter Jennings. The album was preceded by two hit singles, “The Joke” and “Party of One.”
