Cirque Du Soleil – Corteo at Moda Center

Originating as a one-man street performance in 1979 in Quebec, two young men quit college to raise the necessary finance to start their performing company, and embarked on a walk of some 56 miles on a pair of stilts. They were successful in securing their finance. However, they toured Quebec extensively between 1979 until 1983, when in June 1984, they held their first public performance, after securing the much-needed financial backing to form their entertainment company. During the 1990s and 2000s the company grew rapidly, to almost 5000 employees, performing 19 shows in over 300 cities internationally on six continents, generating an annual income of almost 1 billion dollars. Having completely shut down for Covid, the company suffered extreme losses. Since Covid, not all the original residential and international troupes have been resuscitated, but now this batch of experienced and extremely talented troupes of performers are back from the Covid lockdown and are busy reviving their acts, performances and contracts.
