The album’s launch is supported by a mega world tour comprising legs in North America and Europe.
In a statement, the band expressed their excitement about their worldwide trek. “It’s remarkable to me that as a band, we are still hitting new milestones and introducing the sound of DD to new generations of music lovers,” frontman Simon LeBon said. “We are truly grateful that we get to do what we do on a daily basis and that we still love our job as much as we did when we started out some four decades ago.”
Future Past is Duran Duran’s 15th studio album. The record serves as a follow-up to the band’s highly-successful Billboard 200 top 20 previous works like Paper Gods, All You Need Is Now, and Astronaut. In 1983, the band dropped their most successful album, Seven and the Ragged Tiger, which earned double platinum in the U.S. and triple platinum in Canada.
