Green Day are one band who truly need no introduction – one of the most important punk bands ever to exist, the unshakeable trio of frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool is an instantly recognisable icon in the US and across the world. Seeing its beginnings as “Sweet Children” while Armstrong and Dirnt, childhood friends, were only 14 years old, the band released their first album in 1990, following it up with their first American and European tours. The success of their second album, “Kerplunk” led to their signing to a major label and their breakthrough album “Dookie”. Their popularity exploded, and Green Day went on to become one of the most influential and significant punk bands in the history of pop music.

Hailing from Llaundudno, North Wales in 2008, support act Catfish and the Bottlemen were hugely influenced by acts such as Elvis Presley, Oasis, and in particular the Beatles, who they often covered during their early live performances, often in car parks – these early recordings are now very difficult to get hold of and are highly sought after!! After a string of successful singles released between 2012 and 2014, the band released their studio debut, “The Balcony”. The album was an instant hit, charting in the UK Top 10!
