Moda Center at the Rose Quarter
The amazing Japanese-Australian hitmaker behind the track “Glimpse of Us” and “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK” — JOJI just announced his upcoming SOLARIS TOUR with support from Nate Sib and Corbin. The man will be taking on the globe, performing at arenas and famed concert venues. Known for his lo-fi, chill, sad boy, and genre-blurring emotional bangers, the man has struck a chord in everyone’s hearts with relatable and heart-wrenching pieces about love. Over the years, his anthems became a warm embrace to those feeling pains, hurt, and reminiscing the haunting ghosts of what once was whole. While his songs might make you feel the numbness of a love lost all over again, his live shows bring a communal experience with fans — high energies, togetherness, and good music.
Coming to Portland in Oregon, Joji is lined up for a big night at Moda Center on Saturday, July 18th.
In support of his fifth studio LP “Piss In The Wind,” the Japanese singer, songwriter, and rapper JOJI is hitting the road for the SOLARIS TOUR. Known to reinvent himself in every album he creates, the “Glimpse of Us” hitmaker is driven to keep showing different sides of his personality and musical creativity. With songs written straight from the core of his soul, you can always feel every emotion surface and strike your hearts. Sharing an all-new production with an immersive experience of Joji’s music like never before, this tour is bound to be his best yet.
With a setlist packed with his all-time favorites and hits like “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK,” “Sanctuary,” “Gimme Love,” “Run,” and “Glimpse of Us,” he’ll also be serving up special new songs from his recent album, and we’ve got our fingers crossed that “Last of a Dying Breed” and “Pixelated Kisses” will make it to the set. Marking the first time he’ll perform new tracks from his fresh LP on stage, it’s definitely a chapter of his career that you wouldn’t want to miss.
The Solaris Tour’s North American leg will see support from Nate Sib and Corbin across the whole trek.
Released last February via Palace Creek and Virgin Music Group, “Piss In The Wind” marks Joji’s first record since he parted ways with 88rising. Featuring appearances from Giveon, 4Batz, Yeat and Don Toliver, the man showcases his dynamic & collaborative energy once again as he switches his tunes right up. The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 upon release, and James Mellen from Clash hailed the record as Joji’s “most authentic” project yet.
“Joji isn’t chasing a grand statement here; he’s letting things pass, trusting that if something really matters, you’ll feel it even in the smallest moment,” Cedric Joshua concluded in his review of the album for Melodic Magazine.
