EXCITING NEWS! Ice Cube along with some very special guests are set to headline the JAMN 107.5 Summer Jam at the Moda Center on Friday 19th July 2024.
Headliner Ice Cube is gonna bring you an epic show alongside other industry powerhouses like E-40, JUVENILE, MYA, GINUWINE and more! The pioneer of West Coast hip-hop promises to bring razor-sharp lyrics to the Portland stage. Yano the ones that earned him 5 platinum albums and another platinum EP!! Meanwhile, E-40 will serve up flamboyant rhymes and the uptempo rapper Juvenile will bring the New Orleans' "bounce" craze back. O'Shea Jackson Sr, better known as Ice Cube, is the pioneer of West Coast hip-hop. Straight outta South Central Los Angeles, Ice Cube is a razor-sharp lyricalist, talented MC, and savvy producer. After putting N.W.A on the map (and on the FBI's radar!!) with Straight Outta Compton (1988), he launched his epic solo career. Over the years, Ice Cube has dropped 5 platinum albums and 1 platinum EP, including 1990’s AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted, 1991’s Death Certificate, and The Predator in 1992. He wasn’t only an icon in the golden age of hip hop but also a modern hit with recent killer albums. In 2018, he released his tenth studio album ‘Everythang's Corrupt’ and the awesome collaborative album ‘Snoop Cube 40 $hort’ in 2022. There’s nothing stopping this legend! Just last year, Ice Cube made a guest appearance on Soul Assassins 3’s track "Dump On Em" with DJ Muggs and MC Ren - and it was fire!!
Joining this rap god is E-40, JUVENILE, MYA, GINUWINE and more! E-40 is a legendary rapper who went platinum with his first release for Jive “In a Major Way” in 1995. Through the new millenia, he added to his impressive discography with albums that often debuted in the Top Ten of the R&B/hip-hop chart. Now signed to the major label Warner Bros. Records, E-40 is synonymous with Bay Area rap. Known for his flamboyant rhymes and inventive slang, he has a massive following in the States and beyond!
Another special guest we’re stoked about is the New Orleans rapper Juvenile. This Southern hip-hop veteran is no stranger to the top of the charts. Imagine vibing live to "Slow Motion," yano the banger that climbed the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Born Terius Gray, Juvenile is one of the pioneers behind the New Orleans' "bounce" craze. This uptempo style of hip-hop is the perfect sound for a night of gangster rap and party music!
And the lineup doesn’t stop there! MYA will be bringing her Grammy winning voice to the stage. She’s a globally celebrated singer, songwriter, dancer and choreographer so you can expect not only killer sounds but an epic performance!
