SO - who exactly IS Megan Moroney, for all those not in the know?! Read up now because we’re only gonna say it once, okay?!  Born in Georgia but musically brought up in Tennessee - she’s a country singer-songwriter who’s carved out her own lane in modern country by blending sharp, diary-level lyrics with big hooks and undeniable personality into something digestible even though the subject matter can be heavy. She grew up in Savannah and later attended the University of Georgia where she discovered her passion for music - playing at small bar shows and house parties the like. And soon after college she moved to Nashville right as COVID began - but that didn’t stop here at all it seems. She quickly found momentum through self-released music and viral fan support, and her breakout single - “Tennessee Orange” - became a cultural moment in the south. And most importantly - it introduced her as a master storyteller who has always been unafraid of heartbreak, humor, and vulnerability within her tunes. It’s THAT that we fell in love with, and exactly why we had to have her here this summer when the Cloud 9 Era begins.
