Well folks, quite frankly we can’t believe it but we made it to this moment! It’s FINALLY Summer time West coast style, and all the roses around the Rose Quarter have been BLOOMING - thank god. So with the warm weather and all the new year vibes, it checks out that some of our yearly favs are back to rule the town for a week or two. INCLUDING the Portland Tattoo & Arts Festival - the TRUE middle-of-summer marker for everyone who bleeds black red and blue ink! We’re known for turning it up a notch when it’s finally time to get oh so Portland cool, so a flash tattoo at the arts festival?! That’s so us, sign me up! A whole weekend bringing together alt cultures with hundreds of the best tattooers, piercers, performers, and makers from around the world - even though it’s here every year as of late, that’s still a reason to celebrate! A guaranteed once in a lifetime weekend (until next year that is). As one of the biggest Villain Arts conventions in the country, the weekend is gearing up for wall-to-wall with live tattooing, competitions, merch, demos, and nonstop entertainment for every style, aesthetic, and cool little future story of where you get your badass newest addition to your body art.And the best part of it all - it’s a place for us to see you and your smiling face as you show us what’s new on your body! So whether it’s your first time going to a Villain event or you’re here every year - welcome! We can’t wait to see you! We’re so excited that you’re here! The goal of the Portland Tattoo Arts Festival? To create a space where body art is the culture! Villain Arts has spent years building a touring community rooted in craftsmanship, storytelling, and global artist exchange, and us here in the city are known to be one of their biggest festies of the summer by far. Whether you’re pulling up for a fresh flash in the pan spur of the moment vibe, planning a full-day session with a guest artist you’ve followed for years, or just vibing out with friends while you browse the booths, this festival is all about celebrating the art that lives on skin and travels everywhere with you - AKA, it’s all for us here on the west side.
