GO AHEAD AND CRY NBHD FAN - ‘cause you KNOW that’s what we would do too! After going on an indefinite hiatus three years ago and leaving all future projects on the table, we gotta chuck this up to divine convergence or Chip Chrome finally coming back out of his shell to bless us one more time. A new ((ULTRASONIC)) album, a ten year anniversary edition of Wiped Out! And NOW?!? A Wourld Tour?? It’s happy days for all those who’ve kept faithful and never LET THEM GO! ‘Cause right here on Monday October 5th - we invite the Neighbourhood rock band to our little stage to remind us why rock and roll never really died. And this isn’t their only stop folks - they are quite literally going EVERYWHERE. From Dublin to New York to Sydney to Paris. Milano and Vancouver, California, and of course - right here to Portland at the Moda for a night we all can reminisce about in ten years time.
Let’s be honest - if you’re under the age of 40, who DOESN’T know who these guys are?? The Neighbourhood — that’s THE NBHD for the real ones in the back — has been bending genres and moods since the early 2010s, mixing California alt-rock cool with moody R&B, hip-hop, and cinematic pop. Formed in Newbury Park California by Jesse Rutherford, Zach Abels, Jeremy Freedman, Mikey Margott, and Brandon Fried, the group broke out with 2013’s I Love You. and the viral, platinum-selling hit “Sweater Weather,” which became a cultural anthem and one of the most streamed alt-songs of all time - currently sitting north of 5 billion streams on all platforms. From there, they pushed boundaries with Wiped Out! (2015) and Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones (2020), constantly reinventing their aesthetic and sound. Their dark, grayscale branding, experimental visuals, and emotional lyricism helped define the Tumblr-era underground and influence an entire wave of alt-pop artists. Now, after chart-topping success, global tours, and billions of streams, The Neighbourhood returns with (((((ultraSOUND))))) and their massive 2026 The Wourld Tour, ready to evolve again.
We’re ready for the next chapter - are y’all?? We HOPE so, and we can’t wait to see you in the middle row crying our hearts out when Sweater Weather’s beat comes in. Grab all your friends from middle school and wear your best black and white fit - y’all KNOW what to do. See ya soon.
